All Natural Prime Grade Beef
(What Sets Our Signature Natural Prime Beef Apart from USDA Prime)
Our Signature Natural Prime Grade Beef is never given any form of antibiotics or hormones and are Animal Welfare Certified by the G.A.P. (Global Animal Partnership). The animals are allowed to mature slowly for ideal tenderness and marbling. Our beef is Pasture raised on a strictly vegetarian diet. They are given only natural feed, such as pasture grass, hay, grains, and legumes, and then finished on a corn & Alfalfa based diet for no less than 180 days.
When it comes to quality grades, the main difference lies in the amount of marbling within the meat. Typically, more marbling equals a higher USDA grade.
Marbling, or the tiny white flecks scattered throughout the lean red meat, gives beef its great taste and keeps it tender and juicy while cooking. Beef with higher degrees of marbling usually earns a better quality grade.
Our Signature Natural Prime Beef is G-1 (CAB) Certified Angus Beef Prime grade.
You are wondering what’s the difference, let us explain.
So Prime is the best grade given by the USDA, it represents the highest degree of marbling. The USDA has only 2 grading standards for grading out for Prime.
The USDA also use both A & B maturity cattle for Prime which means the minimum age of the animal is around 3 to 4 years and up. They also can be cattle not only raised for Beef but can be cattle used for anything such as Dairy Cattle etc. as long as it meets the USDA’s 2 grading standards.
About 6 to 8 % of beef in the US qualifies as USDA Prime.
Our Signature G-1 Certified Angus Natural Prime Beef is a distinction given to beef that meets the USDA’s 2 Prime grading standards but then the Ranchers add 9 more grading requirements on top of the USDA’s 2 for a total of 11 grading standards for our Prime Beef, as well as using only cattle that are A maturity meaning the animals are never older than 30 months. As a result is a more tender and flavorful piece of meat, just taste the difference for yourself. Our Signature Certified Angus Natural Prime Beef is truly elite and only 3% of beef in the US qualifies for it.
